There’s a world of great music out there, but it needs our support. A lot of bad music has a whole industry trying to convince people to buy it anyway, and it works. Meanwhile, independent artists can produce excellent music yet struggle to make ends meet.
Supporting independent artists is supporting the diversity of music. Finding a great album that speaks to you is one of the great joys in life, and being able to share that is a joy in life. This is where you come in.
The Indie3 Project challenges you to purchase three independent songs or albums per month. Take music you love off the internet and onto your MP3 player and into your personal rotation. Make it a part of your life. Having indie music on your playlist gives you the opportunity to share it with your friends, giving you an awesome answer when someone asks, “What are you listening to?”
To make things easier, we provide recommendations with easy links to purchase the music direct. You don’t have to buy our stuff to participate, but finding the indie music can be half of the battle. To help, we provide at least three recommendations a month, with samples via our podcast feed. See the blog for recommendations and news. Listen to the podcast to get MP3s from our recommendations.
